Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Motomoto Limited (“Motomoto”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use motox2.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to every visitor, registered account holder, and guest checkout customer.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, and some information collected automatically:

  • Account information — name, email address, and phone number when you register or check out as a guest.
  • Order and delivery information — shipping address, delivery country, items purchased, order value, and payment method selected (we do not store your M-Pesa PIN, card number, or banking credentials — those are handled directly by our payment processors).
  • Account activity — cart contents, wishlist items, recently viewed products, and order history, so your cart and preferences persist across visits.
  • Technical information — IP address (used to suggest your local currency and delivery country), browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

2. How we use your information

  • To process and deliver your orders, and to contact you about order status.
  • To maintain your account, saved addresses, wishlist, and cart between visits.
  • To respond to support requests made through the site, WhatsApp, phone, or email.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To understand how the site is used, so we can improve product search, page performance, and the overall shopping experience.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only where necessary to run the service:

  • Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider. Your account, order, and cart data is stored on Supabase’s infrastructure.
  • Payment processors — M-Pesa (Safaricom) and Flutterwave process payments directly; we receive confirmation of payment status but not your full payment credentials.
  • Delivery partners — your name, phone number, and delivery address are shared with the courier or logistics partner fulfilling your order.
  • Analytics providers — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand aggregate site usage.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: one to keep guest carts and language/currency preferences persistent between visits, one to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site — like your cart — may not work correctly without them.

5. Data retention

We keep order records for as long as required for accounting, warranty, and legal purposes. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete it, subject to any records we’re legally required to retain (such as completed order and payment records).

6. Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • Review and update your account details from your Account page.
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to records we’re required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

7. Children's privacy

Motomoto sells industrial equipment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
